It's a......

...BOY!!!

We are so excited :) I couldn't decide what I wanted to have, but now that I know it's a boy I am absolutely thrilled!!!! And he looks perfectly healthy - normal ventricles and normal everything else! And I was a little concerned because last time they told me that the placenta was at the front, so I was worried it might be in contact with scar tissue from my c-sections, but apparently it's a good couple of inches away from that, so hooray! One less complication :) It also explains why I haven't been feeling him move quite as much as I felt the others, because the location of the placenta is like a big cushion between him and my vital organs :D And there I was thinking it was because I'm fatter this time around!! :D And it's certainly not because he's not moving - he was a real little wiggler during the whole sonogram! So cute :)
Anyway, Avery was excited too, and Brogan just wanted to go play in the hallway :) I am so excited!
Oh, and by the way....that means that 69% of you were wrong! hehe

I voted boy! How exciting! Mike and I have been talking about what it would be like (the pregnancy process) of having another baby. We'd for sure be able to diagnosis hydrocephalus without the help of a doctor. It must be such a relieving feeling when you see normal ventricles for yourself.

Lovely news. I too am concerned that you plan to travel solo with two little ones that need to be picked up , helped etc. From experience I kn ow how hard it can be. I travelled solo with three children and pregnant with another. Then with 4 children and pregnant with another. THat was by boat but they do need a lot of attention. But that is Mothers and Grannies for you. We get older and think your energy levels are the same as ours! I hope not. So just take it easy and look forward to seeing you when you come over.

Yes, the journey itself is not going to be fun. However, I will have some help, since Avery won't be able to walk the long distances in the airport, she will get wheelchair assistance, so I will just have to worry about Brogan and the luggage. And I am blessed with a good strong body, so hopefully it won't be too much of a strain! Plus, my doctor wants me to make sure that I get up and move around on the plane, since pregnancy puts you at higher risk of blood clots and all of that, but I told him that I doubt inactivity is ever going to be my problem with a son like Brogan :) It's not going to be fun, but we'll just make sure we'll have a quiet couple of days after we arrive, and we should be fine!

Yea!!!!! Congratulations!!

Josh loves his squeeky shoes, btw. He won't wear anything else. Thanks. (you can take that thanks genuinely or sarcastically). (jk I think they are so cute, but I don't think my dentist nor anyone in his office thought so. Haha. Good times . . .).

We're so happy for you.

Haha Melissa!! Yes, the shoes are great when you're out at the store or something, but sort of embarrassing for parents when you're in a quiet waiting room or something :) I'm glad Joshua likes them so much :) You know you can take the squeaker out with a pair of tweezers if you want a break - they go right back in again :)

Congratulations to all of you from Sweden! I think Brogan will the perfect role model for a baby brother and I'm sure you will have your hands full when baby bro starts walking :P

It was heart-breaking to read about the kicking accident but I hope that Avery is doing ok and that the school AND involved parents will get control of the increasing violence before it gets too far.

Love, Sarah
