Perseverance

Life has been quite exciting in the Andersen home recently, and I'm not just talking about my 30th birthday either :) Avery has been doing some amazing things, and it's been exciting for us to watch, and exciting for her to achieve. Her confidence in herself and her body has been on the rise - she believes in herself. She believes she can and will learn to do things, even if she can't do it quite yet. The biggest chance in the past couple of weeks has been that Avery's walker stays in the back of our van most days, even when we go to unfamiliar places with uneven terrain. For a couple of months now, Avery has been navigating the hallways at church sans walker most Sundays, but recently she has been tackling the grocery store, parks, Doctor's offices, the gym, and today, even, wooded trails! She has been playing chase and "train" with her brothers, and initiating foot races! She has been trying to ride her scooter, and attempting to ride her bike with training wheels! She has tried and failed and tried again. She has giving herself pep talks and encouraging herself to just keep practicing. This deserves at least a million posts, and several videos, but until I have that, here is a time-lapse video to give you a little glimpse into what we've been seeing :)

Avery is amazing! As a mom you must be so excited about her new developments.

I wish Avery could teach Ellie some of that stick-to-it attitude.

Wow! That is all I can say, I hope she keeps up the great work and remembers that she can do anything she wants to
